Pouring the perfect pint of stout every time isn’t the easiest of things to do, but it’s darn impressive when you do.

Get behind the bar at Daltons with some friends and/or fellow enthusiasts and get a hands on lesson with Colm. During it, you’ll learn the steps that go into creating the perfect pour, the differences between the stouts Ireland is famous for and maybe even a little bit of history along the way.

    We will take you through the key steps along the process of pulling the perfect pint. From cold room, to glassware, and finally to the pour itself, you’ll get the end-to-end experience.

  • History of the Pint & Kinsale

    It might look the same coming our of the tap, but there are big differences behind Irelands most popular stouts. Taste the difference and pick up a few stories along the way.

  • Enjoy your own Masterpiece

    Enjoy the company of your group and your host while you drink to your new skill. Ask for tips while visiting, recommendations on where to eat, drink and see… And most of all, have fun doing it!

  • Over the course of the experience you'll get to enjoy drinks you learn to make, a brief but interesting history of Kinsale and Ireland's pub trade. Plus we'll pack up some pint glasses from like likes of Guinness or Murphy's to take to your home bar.

  • This is a casual setting and experience so while most sessions last about 45mins, we may run longer if people are enjoying themselves in conversation. Alternatively, if you need to leave early to make another reservation, that’s ok too!

  • It can be booked on an individual basis, in which case you’ll join other folks booked at that time. Or it can be booked as a private group. All sessions have a maximum of 8 people. All people must be over the age of 18 years old.

  • The Perfect Pint experience is €50 person. Each participant will be able to enjoy 2 beers of their pouring and be given a free souvenir glass to take home with them.

  • All bookings can be cancelled with 12 hours notice. This can be done online via your booking confirmation and you will receive a full refund. No shows or cancellation within that 12 hour notice period will be charged in full.
